So it took me until today (1/10) to feel like a new year. I didn't get home from San Diego (which just felt like a horrible nightmare) until the night of the 3rd, slept all day on the 4th, and had a complete mental breakdown on the 5th. I'm finally feeling normal and can function like an adult.
So per life's usual routine, while trying to get through my massive mountain of laundry my washing machine broke. Awesome.
School is officially starting tomorrow which is terrifying.
If you have a chance to make one of your life's dreams come true but you aren't in the right part of your life, do you fight to make it work or hold out knowing something better might come along at the right time in life?
Depends on the situation but normally try to make it work I think. Good luck whatever you decide.
ReplyDeletethat's definitely a hard call to make. personally i followed the traditionally prescribed path hopeful that something would work out when the time is right - and so far that is proving true. then again tho, i never faced any crazy amazing opportunities to tempt me to stray from that path. generally tho, things have a way of working out regardless. good luck!
ReplyDeleteHold out. I feel like the last 2 years are where I've really wanted to be in life but it took a lot of slow incremental growth to get there in a way that didn't damage me physically, mentally, financially.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm a nutcase, but I generally fight for things, and when (if) it doesn't work out, I learn enough from it to be able to make it happen the next time the opportunity comes around.
ReplyDeleteI've always regretted not fighting harder for what I wanted. It feels like I wasted a lot of time waiting for things to come around. I don't see many people regretting making things happen. However, it's different with every situation and you have to do whatever you can handle at the time.
